CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Biology (CSIR-IICB), Jadavpur, Kolkata invites eligible candidates for a Walk-in Interview for engagement of around 16 Project Personnel under different projects. Posts include Project Associate-I, Senior Project Associate and Project Scientist-I. Engagement is temporary and co-terminus with the project. Interview will be held on 14 October 2026 from 08:45 AM at CSIR-IICB, Kolkata. The number of posts may increase or decrease.

✅ CSIR IICB Project Personnel Vacancy Details:

• Project Associate-I – 08 Posts – ₹31,000/- plus HRA (with NET/GATE or equivalent) or ₹25,000/- plus HRA. Vacancy codes: 5912602, 5912603, 5912605, 5912606, 5912607, 5912614, 5912615, 5912617.
• Senior Project Associate – 07 Posts – ₹42,000/- plus 30% HRA. Vacancy codes: 5912604, 5912608, 5912609, 5912610, 5912611, 5912612, 5912613.
• Project Scientist-I – 01 Post – ₹56,000/- plus 30% HRA. Vacancy code: 5912616.
• Increment of 5% for every 2 years of experience in the same project.
• Most posts are under IICB-CB (MLP002620), initially up to 31.03.2027. Vacancy code 5912606 is under FTT070601, initially for 1 year and extendable up to 31.03.2028.

✅ CSIR IICB Project Personnel Age Limit:

• Project Associate-I and Project Scientist-I: Maximum 35 years.
• Senior Project Associate: Maximum 40 years.
• Age relaxation: 05 years for SC/ST/PwBD/Women and 03 years for OBC, as per CSIR guidelines.
• Age and qualification will be reckoned as on the date of interview.

✅ CSIR IICB Project Personnel Eligibility Criteria:

• Project Associate-I: M.Sc. in Life Science, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Zoology, Human Physiology, Botany, Chemistry or related field; or B.E./B.Tech in IT/CSE or Biotechnology; or MBBS, B.Pharm, MVSc, or Master’s/Integrated Master’s in Natural, Agricultural or Pharmaceutical Sciences, as per vacancy code. Code 5912606 requires M.Sc. Microbiology with NET/GATE.
• Senior Project Associate: M.Sc. in Life Science with 2 years research experience, or Doctoral Degree in Science/Pharma/MD/MS with 2 years R&D experience, or Master’s/Integrated Master’s in Engineering or Technology, as per vacancy code.
• Project Scientist-I: Doctoral Degree in Science, or Master’s/Integrated Master’s in Engineering or Technology, with 4 years R&D experience.
• Desirable experience includes cell culture, molecular biology, neuroscience, GLP, preclinical pathology, DMPK, genetic toxicology, IT administration and graphics, as per post. Final-semester candidates and candidates awaiting results are not eligible.
